xPloration represents a significant advancement in single B-cell screening and antibody discovery. OmniAb’s AI-powered xPloration utilizes a through-hole format that enables the examination of millions of antibody secreting cells and a proprietary laser recovery method support the quick recovery of thousands of sequences.
xPloration uses chips with ~1.5M capillaries to separate individual secreting B-cells in the presence of reporter cells or beads. Chips are processed through automated imaging, then analyzed using computer vision models to identify B-cells that express antibodies with the desired binding profiles. These positive hits are rapidly recovered by laser extraction, after which their antibody sequences are determined.
